Thank you to everyone who came out to Hawkeyes Country Tavern to support the firehouse. We truly appreciate all the community does to help us!
Thank you for your support with the breakfasts. Our next breakfast will be in March due the holidays and weather concerns. Served buffet style, we offer many different types of food such as pancakes, eggs, French toast, sausage, breakfast cakes and more! It runs from 8am to 1pm. Children (and adults) are welcome to look at our trucks and equipment while down at the station and they can even try on some gear. Please come out and support your volunteers and enjoy a nice breakfast.
On Monday, May 25th, 2015, crews were dispatched to Paige Trail to help save ducklings that were caught in the storm drains. After about an hour of playing hide-and-seek, all ten ducklings that were trapped were rescued and returned safely to their Mom.
On Tuesday, April 28th, 2015, crews participated in our monthly Engineer’s Night to make sure everything on our trucks are in good shape and ready to use. Later in the evening, some of our members went out to train on pumping water, while others trained with the hose line.
On Tuesday, April 21st, 2015, our members participated in a CPR and First Aid recertification class.

STATION 59 GOES PINK TO SUPPORT BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
Every year crew members from station 59 are proud to wear their pink t-shirts in support of breast cancer awareness. Several firefighters also purchased pink furnace pieces for their helmets to help raise awareness.
Welcome to Silverdale Volunteer Fire Company
2015 turned into a busy and productive year. The members have responded to about 350 calls, both fire and ems. 2016 will be a fun and exciting year for us. We are proud to continue our duel dispatch system with the Hilltown Volunteer Fire Company. Our two fire companies are now responding to each other calls and are working hard to provide an effective firefighting and rescue force for our community, and to ensure that we have all the manpower necessary to get the task done. We are proud to provide this community with reliable fire protection and we would like the thank the community for all of their support!
In the meanwhile, just like you, our normal day-to-day operating, maintenance, and training expenses continue to grow. Once again, we are asking you to PLEASE dig deep, and continue to support your volunteer firefighters. These dedicated men and women selflessly put themselves in harm’s way to protect the people and property in our great community. Only through your support can we continue to provide them with the tools, training, and support they need to do this heroic work.
Volunteers do not just save lives; they will save Silverdale Borough and Hilltown Township tax dollars and keep insurance rates low. By maintaining a high level of training and preparedness, our active volunteers help keep the ISO Public Protection Classification Ratings low, which helps keep your insurance rates down. Now it’s your turn to be a hero, and be part of a great tradition of service.
Junior Firefighter Program
We have a Junior Firefighting program designed for those who are 14 years old to 18 years old. They will be given gear and training, provided through the fire company, and will learning everything it takes to become a firefighter. It is designed to give younger members an idea of what is to come when they are certified and of age to be an active member. If interested, please stop the firehouse on any Tuesday night around 7pm to talk to our members, or please feel free to call us at (215) 257-9620. You can also email the Lieutenant for more information and questions at email@example.com.
Station 59 does have a banquet/event hall that is available to rent. Below is a link to view photos and it provides information on how to set-up a hall rental. Any questions please feel free to contact the fire house at (215) 257-9620
